This great legend of WWE has passed away.  Mae Young was known as a professional wrestler from back in the 1940's, in an era when many women were not wrestlers.  Young remained active until her death, which helps one to live a long life. 

According to msn.foxsports.com, Young was reportedly hospitalized on Dec. 31, then moved to hospice care. Her death had been erroneously reported in the days after, and WWE did not give a cause of death.  

Mae Young's life should encourage the average woman who has given up.   This woman was great, because she became a part of something that was unheard of for women back in the day and she never quit.  Young never let age stop her dreams, which is a value for both men and women to possess.  May Mae Young rest in peace.
