Thank God for very few pastors like Bishop T. D. Jakes who cares about the needs of people with HIV/AIDS. Bishop T. D. Jake will provide free HIV testing at The Potter's House on World AIDS Day. Many of you who live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, this is an opportunity for you to get tested and what better place, in the house of God.
According to BlackChristianNews.com, Dallas County has the highest rate of new HIV infections in the state and one of the highest in the United States, according to World AIDS Day Dallas organizers.
Many of you who may know the Lord, don't be ashamed to go get tested. If you find out you are HIV positive, God will take you through your journey. Furthermore, we cannot deny the (black) church is full of people who have the disease and not telling their partners before having unprotected sex, so you can't be too careful.
T.D. Jakes Offers Free HIV Testing at the Potter's House for World AIDS Day
The Potter's House translated the message of AIDS awareness into action Sunday by providing free HIV testing to nearly 300 people.
"With it being not only a national, but an international epidemic, we wanted to show our solidarity," said Bonné Moon, an associate pastor at the megachurch near Mountain Creek Lake. "The statistics are growing at alarming rates."
