Lakes Region Pizza Champs

As a kid who grew up in New York, I've always had a somewhat jaundiced view of New England pizza ever since I first came here to go to college. "Why are all the italian food places here owned by Greek people?" I thought. The food was kinda good, but somewhat salty as compared to the italian-owned places I grew up visiting in the Bronx.

So we're always looking out for the best pizza around.

Now WMUR-TV (and, yes, we're admittedly using their website a lot lately), had New Hampshire voters pick their favorite pizzas in the state.

Here are the top winners from the Lakes Region, including three in the Top Ten.

3. Tilton House of Pizza

6. Shooters Tavern in Belmont

7. Pizza Barn in Center Ossipee

14. Brookside Pizza in Belmont
