It's been longer than usual since our last post; apologies for the delay.
Sharing some Lakes Region Reflections, days after our first snowfall and a cold snap that brought us below freezing much earlier than most years.

Seems only moments ago, on a pleasant but chilly Tuesday evening, that we were contemplating what traffic in and around Wolfeboro and Lake Winnipesaukee would be like when the seasonal home owned by the family of Mitt Romney became the sometimes-resident of the President of the United States of America.
When you're on the water next summer, here's directions to the place offered by a post on Winnipesaukee.com
"From downtown Wolfeboro by boat, follow the shoreline on your left going by Brewster Academy, then Brewster (Sandy) Beach. Continue around the "corner". That outermost point is Clark's Pointe. It is a few houses beyond that. It would be across from Springfield Point."

Once again, we can depend on the Laconia Putnam Fund to deliver us from the early winter blues... by providing some top-notch blues performers.
Master guitarists Duke Robillard and Coco Montoya will be performing in the Laconia High School auditorium next Friday, November 23, at 7 p.m. And, as always, the music will be free.
Just last month, the fund presented another blues great, Preston Shannon. It was a wonderfully rollicking show, with the very mixed crowd rocking in their seats.
Get there early; you will not be disappointed.
And an update on our October 12 post about the startling new Lakes Region restaurant Local Eatery... Virtually everything on the menu is grown and/or processed within a 120 mile radius around the place.
Worth mentioning is a drink: Squamqua Soda from Newmarket, and General John Stark vodka from Kingston.
Oh, and the dessert special, which is also available around the corner at the downtown Main Street business called the Laconia Village Bakery, is the Triple Chocolate Cake. Ask for it by name and Kevin will know that we sent you.
